Aloha! I have nothing to tell you today. Nothing but except for about summer, no, about Summerfield. I'm telling about Saffron Summerfield. Her definitely great first album "Salisbury Plain" (Originally released in 1974) is re-issued in the very limited edition of 300 from Media Arte. How simple, naive, interesting, and beautiful her songs are! If you are a Bridget St. John fan, I believe you'll also love this album. Don't you feel the cover photo is cute too? This edition is in the mini LP format (the paper sleeve edition) fortunately.
This is the words from Saffron Summerfield as below;
"I had been writing songs for five years and was really excited about recording this album. I was one of the first singer-songwriters in the UK to set up their own label (Mother Earth Music). I had been offered contracts with two major labels but nothing got released. I was tired of waiting! So, with a little financial help from my mother I recorded 'Salisbury Plain'."
I'd love to dedicate this album to your beautiful summertime.
